who sent flowers?

Fotografowanie o 7. rano jest zabawne Taking pictures at 7 a.m. is real fun
But in the morn the cake wasn't tasty
Po południu jednak spojrzałam na nie łaskawszym okiem ;) Afternoon not only brought warm light, but also a bit warmer thoughts about this cake ;)

Myślami byłam przy brownie a rzeczywistość to kakaowo-kokosowy baton ;)
Pobite gary (foremki?) ;)

Kokosy w kwadracie
kwadratowa forma o boku 23 cm

150 g mąki
100 g cukru
0.5 łyżeczki proszku do pieczenia
125 g wiórków kokosowych
3 łyżki gorzkiego kakao
180 g miękkiego masła

lukier
250 g cukru pudru
1 łyżeczka ekstraktu waniliowego
60 ml wody (wrzątek)

Piekarnik nagrzać to 180ºC.

Suche składniki wymieszać ze sobą w misce, dodać masło pokrojone w kostkę i całość połączyć ręcznie (dokładnie ugniatając składniki ze sobą). Masa będzie gliniasta - ale spokojnie ;)
Kwadratową formę o boku 23cm wyłożyć papierem do pieczenia a w jej dno równomiernie wgnieść masę. Wstawić do piekarnika na 25-30 minut. Wyjąć ciasto i zostawić aż zupełnie wystygnie.
Gotowe ciasto polać lukrem (wymieszać cukier puder z ekstraktem i dodać wrzątek - całość wymieszać).

Actually I had brownies on my mind whereas what I got was a cocoa-coconut bars ;) Oh well ;) Guess these little squares would taste best on the nostalgic Morava biking trip, not with a corporate coffee at work... nonetheless they are not that bad ;)

Coco  squares
squarish form 23x23 cm

150 g flour
100 g sugar
0.5 tsp baking powder
125 g coconut shreds
3 łyżki gorzkiego kakao
180 g butter (softened)

glaze
250 g icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
60 ml boiling water

Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

Dry ingredients to be stirred together in a bowl. Add cubes of butter and mix all by hand (and try to mix it well). The dough won't be very cooperative, but no worries ;)

The squarish baking form lay with baking paper and press the dough by hand onto its bottom. Put into the oven for 25-30 minutes. Take out and leave to cool completely. When the cake is ready, pur the top with the glaze (icing suagr and vanilla extract to be mixed together, add boiling water just to cover the sugar and stirr together).

1.10 pop

bubbles!

Maria Skłodowska-Curie miała rower, a nawet i męża ;) Marie Skłodowska Curie was not only a bike owner, but also a husband owner ;)

Ciasto z dodatkiem popkultury.
Baking and biking is fun!

pop ciasto
forma na babkę (z kominkiem)

340 g masła (w temperaturze pokojowej)
500 g cukru (!!!)*
5 jajek
1 koncentrat waniliowy
375 g mąki
240 ml popkultury (7up lub Sprite)

Piekarnik nagrzać do temperatury 160ºC.
Masło miksować samotnie do gładkości. Masę przełożyć do foremki babkowej z kominkiem wysmarowanej masłem i oprószonej mąką.

Minione dni w nieskończoność umilało mi tiramisu ;) I was enjoying tiramisu during the past few days ;)
English version
Cake with a bit of popculture.
A bit too sweet with a bit too boring taste... but finally I can say 'it's perefect for the black tea' or for the biking picnic ;) Baking and biking is fun!

pop cake

340 g butter (at room temperature)
500 g sugar (!!!)*
5 jajek
1 koncentrat waniliowy
375 g mąki
240 ml popculture (7up or Sprite)

Preheat oven to 160ºC.
Cream butter - all by itself. Add sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing after each addition. Add vanilla extract and mix well. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add a bit of pop culture, then mix together until combined. Scrape sides of bowl, then mix briefly.
Pour into a greased Bundt pan and bake for 1 hour 10 minutes.

* Yes, I did it. Next time I won't - meaning I will use half the sugar amount. Oh, I recommend to do that as well if you plan to bake it soon ;)

take away far far away

Karmel power! ;)

Muffinki bananowo-karmelowo-rowerowe
forma do muffinek

1 niemały banan
1 jajko
20 g cukru
40 g masła, stopionego
50 g kremu kajmakowego, sosu karmelowego lub masy krówkowej
100 g mąki pszennej
0.5 łyżeczki proszku do pieczenia

Widelcem pognieść banana, następnie dodać resztę składników i wymieszać je łyżką (Gdyby masa okazała się zbyt gęsta, można dodać 1-2 łyżek kefiru lub jogurtu naturalnego > WP). Przełożyć do formy muffinkowej.
Piec 20-25 minut w temp. 180ºC.

These muffins were inspired by the White Plate blog where an author says that she usually bakes these muffins in the eve and next day in the morning she takes two small muffins with her to accompany hot tea from her super tea jug.
Well, I couldn't make it as I am a cyclist, every morning focusing all my energy onto Wroclaw citizens sleepwalking through the bike lanes ;)
About the muffins: these were made out of chaos and with the very annoying manner to me (well, I do not seriously consider cakes which ingredients are being prepared by fork-mashing ;) These have to be mixed, stirred... step by step... those are the foundations of the real baking ;) ) Ok, I have to admit last Saturday morning my pilates classes lost to the muffins -  ready in 20 minutes, in a number of 6. And very soon these have become  a delicious memory ;)
P.S. My bike's name is Caramel and in the pic above you can see us (me & my bike) riding directly into the wild Vikings' battle ;)

Muffins (banana-caramel-bike)
muffins baking form

1 banana (not too big, not too small)
1 egg
20 g sugar
40 g butter, melted
50 g caramel souce
100 g flour
0.5 tsp baking powder

Use fork to mash banana, next add the rest of ingredients and mix well with spoon only (in case the mixture is too thick, you can add 1-2 tbsp of plain joghurt). Transfer the dough into the muffins form. Bake 20-25 mins in  180ºC.
